Cup Eggshell

A wide ceremonial cup with eggshell inlay — hundreds of shell fragments creating a luminous, moon-white surface. The generous 27 cm diameter makes this a centrepiece as much as a vessel. Duck eggshell fragments are inlaid by hand into wet lacquer, then sealed and polished smooth. Light passes through the thin shell, giving the surface an inner glow.
