Console Silver Eggshell Scale — Art 82

A waterfall console table where the entire top is hand-laid in eggshell, arranged in an overlapping fan-scale pattern that catches light differently from every angle. The deep maroon lacquer body wraps the eggshell mosaic in a single continuous curve.

Eggshell inlay is one of the most demanding techniques in Vietnamese-Cambodian lacquer tradition: each fragment is broken, sized, placed, and then sealed under successive layers of natural lacquer. The result is the characteristic crackled, almost-marble surface, durable enough for daily use.

Materials: Hevea wood, natural lacquer, hand-laid eggshell
