Console Red & Black Diamonds

A bold console finished in a graphic diamond pattern: black lacquer diamonds set against a deep red eggshell background, framed by bands of white eggshell mosaic. The contrast of glossy black, matte red mosaic, and crackled white reads almost like a textile motif rendered in lacquer.

Each diamond and band is built up by hand: red eggshell laid first across the field, white eggshell at the borders, then dark lacquer diamonds placed and sealed under successive layers of clear lacquer. The result is a perfectly flat surface where every colour has its own texture.

Materials: Hevea wood, natural lacquer, hand-laid eggshell (red and white)

Finish: 30+ layers of natural lacquer, hand-polished to satin lustre
