Console Geometric Marquetry — Art 83

A statement console where a diagonal marquetry of triangles wraps the top edge and runs down one side: eggshell, olive-green lacquer, and copper-leaf segments arranged in a precise rhythmic pattern. The body is finished in deep, almost-black lacquer with a mirror polish.

Each triangular segment is cut, inlaid, and finished individually before the entire surface receives 30+ unifying layers of lacquer. The wraparound composition turns the console into a sculptural object viewable from any side.
