Bowl Eggshell

Crushed eggshell pressed into wet lacquer, piece by piece, creating an organic mosaic that catches light like cracked porcelain. Eggshell inlay is one of the most delicate lacquer techniques. Each fragment is placed individually with tweezers into wet lacquer, then sealed under additional clear coats. The natural variation in shell thickness creates subtle differences in translucency — a living surface that shifts with the light. Materials: Hevea wood, natural lacquer, duck eggshell
