Genuine copper leaf applied by hand over lacquer — a warm metallic surface that deepens to a rich patina over time. Sheets of pure copper leaf are laid onto tacky lacquer and sealed beneath additional clear coats. The copper oxidises very slowly under the protective lacquer, developing character over years rather than weeks. A bowl that ages as gracefully as its owner.
