Layers of blue and white lacquer manipulated while still wet to create a cloudlike marbled surface — no two bowls are alike. The "blue cloudy" technique involves applying contrasting lacquer layers and swirling them by hand before they set. The unpredictable patterns suggest sky, water, or marble — organic and unrepeatable. The final surface is sealed under clear lacquer for depth.
