ABOUT US
Trained by Pierre Bobot in 1974, a great master of lacquer, Eric Stocker learnt how to restore Asian lacquerware.
Artisan restorer for the National Museum, expert in lacquer, gilding, polychromy, and marquetry.
In 1998, he was invited by the European Union to join an arts and crafts program in Cambodia for the revival of natural lacquer and gilding techniques.
During 10 years, Eric Stocker trained tree bleeders to collect lacquer sap from the trees and trained hundreds of Cambodian youths.
In 2008, he was joined by his brother and opened his own workshop.
He is inspired by nature; he creates his collection around vegetal, mineral, and animal textures.
The heart of the workshop is natural lacquer. We also practice textures like rye straw marquetry, eggshell and shell inlay, and recover artefacts and furniture with stingray skin, carp skin, salmon skin, goat skin, and lamb skin.
All the creations are unique, and the craftsmen are masters who achieve the highest quality in their final products.
Their customers are designers, interior architects, and private projects around the world.
Eric Stocker was the winner of the Trophée des Français de l'Étranger 2019, in the Culture & Art de Vivre category, awarded by Courrier International at the Quai d'Orsay (YouTube video).
